The Mafia That Geto Suguru Couldn't Escape Ch. 11
When Geto Suguru rode his cursed spirit back to Tokyo Jujutsu High, he was actually met with a pretty wild scene.
Jujutsu High usually kept an extremely low profile to the outside world; any clout they had was strictly gatekept within the jujutsu sorcery circles.
Yet, dozens of sedans driven by monkeys were currently swarming the vicinity of the school, which looked sketchy no matter how you sliced it.
Geto Suguru’s gaze shifted to the sleepy Fuwa Yozora.
The first time they met, this girl was also in the middle of being kidnapped, and that "Sanyei-gumi" name sounded kind of familiar.
The centrifugal force of the descending cursed spirit snapped Fuwa Yozora out of her daze. Her vision was filled with lush green forests and peaceful, ancient temple architecture—it looked like they were back at Jujutsu High.
Before the two of them could even speak, the commanding, low-register voice of a middle-aged man echoed from not far away.
"Geto Suguru, you better have a damn good explanation for this!"
Geto Suguru stuck his tongue out; being called by his full name by the teacher was actually lowkey terrifying.
Yaga Masamichi had already spotted Fuwa Yozora on the back of the cursed spirit. Based on the description given by the man at the gate earlier—who had the vibes of a Grade 1 sorcerer—she matched the appearance of the Sanyei-gumi’s Young Lady.
But her body had been lightly tainted by the cursed energy of the spirit. What on earth did Geto Suguru take her to do?
"Don’t get tilted yet, Sensei. We need Shoko for this situation."
Geto Suguru flashed a teasing grin, leaving Yaga Masamichi with a massive headache.
Everyone thought he must be so flexed and proud to have raised two Special Grade sorcerers like Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru.
No, he was literally suffering.
These two delinquents were constantly competing to see who could cause the biggest scene!
Yaga Masamichi took a deep breath, sized up Fuwa Yozora, and tried his best to keep his tone chill.
"Are you Fuwa Yozora?"
"Yes, hello."
"Nice to meet you. I am Yaga Masamichi, the Principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High. We have a bit of a situation right now—Sanyei-gumi has the school surrounded, demanding we hand you over."
Fuwa Yozora blinked. She checked the time on her phone; two hours and ten minutes had passed.
She had basically main-character-syndromed her way into Jujutsu High to find Geto Suguru and failed to give Tomizawa Tenmei an update.
Honestly, she was just too exhausted and lost track of time.
"I’m so sorry, I didn't mean to cause any drama. I’ll go explain everything right now."
Fuwa Yozora’s attitude was surprisingly wholesome, which caught Yaga Masamichi off guard, especially since she looked like she’d just been "kidnapped" to God-knows-where by his chaotic student.
"Let’s get you treated first. Showing up looking like that will only cause more misunderstandings."
Fuwa Yozora felt that Yaga Masamichi was a deep thinker who clearly didn't want any extra smoke.
As she hopped off the cursed spirit, her legs felt like jelly, and she could barely keep her balance.
However, that level of physical coordination still surprised Yaga Masamichi; it was rare for an ordinary girl to have such solid martial arts fundamentals.
Should he expect nothing less from the Young Lady of the Sanyei-gumi?
Fuwa Yozora quickly dialed Tomizawa Tenmei. Her uncle’s voice was high-pitched and sounding pretty pressed.
"Young Lady! Are you okay?! Your GPS has been acting glitchy for a while now. Are you back at Jujutsu High?"
Being cared for like that made Fuwa Yozora feel warm inside.
"Everything’s Gucci. I was too sleepy while we were moving and forgot to check in. Tell them to stand down; don't cause trouble for Jujutsu High."
Tomizawa Tenmei gave a "Yes, Ma’am," but after a brief silence, he asked somewhat awkwardly.
"Did the Young Lady meet Geto Suguru?"
"I did."
"What’s the vibe?"
"He’s a bit of a weirdo, but we can vibe together."
She said this right in front of Geto Suguru. The boy just gave a nonchalant smile, totally not surprised that this was her take on him.
But Tomizawa Tenmei heard something completely different.
Wait, did they actually spark?
Their Young Lady’s first love was finally blooming? Sixteen was a bit late for a Japanese girl, but dating for two years and getting married at eighteen wasn't out of the question.
But since the Young Lady had to take over the Sanyei-gumi in the future, the husband would absolutely have to marry into the family.
Would a Special Grade sorcerer be down to be a stay-at-home husband? If not, could they just kidnap him back? But a Special Grade was definitely not someone you could just mess with.
...
Tomizawa Tenmei, who treated Fuwa Yozora like his own niece, overthought a whole lifetime in a split second.
The eerie silence on the other end of the line left Fuwa Yozora confused. She called out.
"Uncle Tenmei?"
"If the Young Lady is happy, that’s all that matters. We’ll let things take their natural course, but we still need to do a proper vibe check on him."
Fuwa Yozora nodded. They definitely needed to investigate more; her contact with Geto Suguru was too minimal to explain why his lifespan was synced with her dad’s.
"I feel the same. It’s going to take some time."
"True, true. After all, there’s still time before the Young Lady hits adulthood."
"What?"
Fuwa Yozora didn't get it for a second. Investigating this stuff had nothing to do with her age, right?
Fearing the "smitten" Young Lady might get shy, Tomizawa Tenmei immediately pivoted.
"Nothing! I’ll be waiting for you at the Jujutsu High gate. As long as you’re safe, there’s no rush to come out. Feel free to chat a bit longer."
Fuwa Yozora’s gaze swept over the relaxed-looking Geto Suguru.
"Got it."
It was just a casual response to his words, but Tomizawa Tenmei totally misinterpreted it as: The Young Lady really wants to spend more 1v1 time with Geto Suguru. After hanging up, Tomizawa Tenmei pulled a cigarette from his suit jacket. He tucked it between his lips with a hint of melancholy, finding the bright red torii gate of Jujutsu High a bit too eyesore.
The shadi (mafia lackey) next to him respectfully leaned in.
"Big Bro, you look pressed. Should we just raid the place?"
Tomizawa Tenmei glanced at the lackey and flicked his forehead with his finger.
"Back off. Don't kill the mood for the Young Lady. Get lost, as far as possible."
"Huh?"
"If you scare off the future Young Master, can you even handle the consequences?"
"HUH???"
Tomizawa Tenmei was so annoyed he kicked the lackey’s ass. The guy scrambled away and hurriedly got on the phone to order the evacuation.
The black sedans swarming Jujutsu High quickly cleared out, and the scenery returned to its peaceful, zen state.
Inside the school, Fuwa Yozora, who had just hung up, heard Geto Suguru’s playful voice.
"I remember now. Fuwa and Sanyei-gumi... so you’re from a mafia family."
Fuwa Yozora didn't plan on capping. She nodded, only for Geto Suguru to keep talking.
"Back in middle school, I folded the high school branch of the Sanyei-gumi. Their combat skills were decent—did you train them, Young Lady?"
Fuwa Yozora realized it then: Geto Suguru’s lowkey savage tongue was actually the worst!
